Imagine what it would be like to know 1.7 million different people.
Answering this question is about also considering the number of people you know. Imagine what it’s like to realize that you might only “really” know 100 people in your lifetime. Match that number with the constant flow of illegal telecommunications within the private sector, and a lot comes into focus.
There’s a steady stream of information entering and exiting the private sector. This sector is considered discrete but not because the government wants to hide it from you. The discrete qualities of the private industry are because of the needs in safety we have. Staying safe as a society starts with a process in private technology and the protection it can give.
Just How Active Is The Private World?
The private world is alive and thriving with most of society. There are things that criminals wouldn’t do in broad daylight, yet a lot more does happen in the private industries. The activities of the private sector require that transparency is present in industry processes. This transparency is on the foundation of safety and how private industries operate.
There are many hazards in the private world, and there needs to be clear observation to keep resources, personnel or data safe. The safety measures we take are relevant to the world we live in. We live in a society that can continue to achieve great feats as long as the safety measures we’ve taken are progressed with greater results.
Held In The Hands Of The U.S. Government
The U.S. government is expanding its private sector by taking into account what else Securus Technologies can do. What we’re now witnessing is the development of a wireless system that no one thought would be necessary. Duplicating the common wireless structures of the world lets Securus collect every signal that enters its domain.
The work is steadily progressing and within the hands of the government.
It must progress as the potential of illegal break-ins are possible with the rise of technology. This technology puts power into the hands of every person. The limits of illegal activity have not been seen in this generation. This makes the work of agencies like Securus necessary in every way.
Of all the tools my team of officers has to combat crime, the most effective comes from a source many don’t even know about. In the past, me and my team would have to rely on activities the criminals had already done, leaving us to simply be in reaction mode all the time. That will give criminals an advantage that allows them the opportunity to continue to think they could get away with just about anything.
Things changed for my team when we discovered Securus Technologies was installing their renowned inmate call monitoring system in our local prison. The way the system works is that software now scans all the calls inmates make on the phone, and every second of every call is checked for any type of verbiage. The company has this system in thousands of jail in every corner of this country, and each employee works towards a single objective of making the world safer for all.
If we are trying to locate a fugitive or deal with a rash of bank robberies, that information is used so the LBS software can alert my team when conversations are going on about these subjects. When we knew that a local suspect was breaking into high-end homes, it wasn’t until the LBS software detected chatter by his partner who was in jail on an unrelated charge that we got a lead.
A conversation was picked up where our suspect was being mentioned by name, and it gave us a new lead to a person who was partnering with our suspect in new burglaries. By watching this new person of interest, we were able to catch both involved in a crime that linked them to a string of similar crimes that were unsolved to this point.
As a prison guard in the most dangerous prison in Florida, my job gets more dangerous as the overcrowding increases each month. Add into the mix the most violent gang members are piling into our facility and you can see why we as officers have to really be on our game or we risk serious injury each day. Luckily for my team, we were about to discover a resource in Securus Technologies that would change the way officers were able to protect ourselves and everyone who must be behind these walls at some point.
Every day that I show up for work at the prison is a new adventure of itself. The guards and myself are always outnumbered, so we work as a tight group of individuals with one goal, keeping the peace and protecting each other. This can be difficult considering that we only work a fraction of the hours that the inmates are trapped behind these walls. The inmates spot weaknesses all the time and they use it to their advantage. By the time we discover the trouble, it can be too late. Luckily, Securus Technologies was about to change that for my team.
Securus Technologies has been the leader in the industry when it comes to inmate telephone call monitoring devices. Once the system was in our facility and my fellow officers understood how the LBS software worked, we couldn’t wait to see how things were going to change. On that first day, we were literally floored when the call monitoring system picked up on inmates talking about how their family could sneak in to the visitor center drugs. This was key because we got the jump on this illegal activity and took the drugs out of circulation before they ever had the chance to get to the inmates and make life difficult for us all.
